Churches are called to reach the lost and help those in need.
At Shiloh Baptist church, our community outreach efforts include participation in a variety of events to promote the Word of God. We have several outreach programs that we hold dear to our hearts and we are blessed to be able provide spiritual and materials.
The Shiloh Baptist Church Food Pantry’s mission is to secure and distribute food to the needy in the name of Jesus in an effort to alleviate hunger in the greater Geneva County, Alabama area.
Our Pantry is a 100% volunteer organization. We do not receive any government assistance for the procurement of food to operate our pantry. We work solely on food item donation, as well as monetary funds from our church families.
We provide a monthly food box with non-perishable food item. Mainly obtained from our areas Wiregrass Food Bank, of Dothan, Alabama.
Local donations from school, postal food drives and private businesses are a huge benefit, as well. We provide assistance to 30 or more families monthly.
We distribute the Fourth Monday of every month and on a call in “need” bases to our pantry

ROMANS 12-2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Threads of Love Sewing Ministry makes comfort items; such as adult bibs, neck pillows, walker caddy, lap blankets, for senior adults in local nursing homes, retirement facilities, and Senior Centers.
At Christmas we provide handmade gifts for each resident (as well as homebound residences) at Hartford Retirement Village. Over the years we’ve provided clothing and blankets to overseas orphanages, as well as making items to stimulate Alzheimer’s patients.
We have made blankets for disaster stricken areas. We operate on donations and by volunteers. Most of our work is done from our homes.
We always welcome fellow crafters of any type, as well as those who are willing to simply cut fabric for the seamstresses to sew.
Shiloh Baptist Church member and or family members, who live alone, are unable to leave their homes, are in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
